This first episode in 2021 isn’t about setting goals or looking at the year you want to create for yourself. Instead, we’re going to share our feminist reading recommendations.
This reading list is all non-fiction and it is the current core reading list for our Feminist Coach Theory Training. It covers a variety of very important topics and of course it is something that will continue to evolve and change over time. The list, not in any particular order is as follows:
  • “Feminist Theory: From Margins to Centre” by bell hooks
  • “Feminist Therapy” by Laura S Brown
  • “The Body Is Not An Apology” by Sonya Renee Taylor
  • “Talkin’ Up To The White Woman” by Aileen Moreton-Robinson
  • “White Tears/Brown Scars” by Ruby Hamad
  • “Teaching Critical Thinking: Practical Wisdom” by bell hooks
  • “Teaching Community: A Pedagogy of Hope” by bell hooks
  • “Care Work: Dreaming Disability Justice” by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha
  • “Sister Outsider” by Audre Lorde
  • “The Racial Healing Handbook” by Anneliese A Singh
